Books That Need A-Level

Mathematics - From the Birth of Numbers by Jan Gullberg
One of the best and most complete references on Math. My favourite. It goes from quite simple stuff to undergraduate level, but is always well-written and easy to follow.

Professor Stewart's Cabinet of Mathematical Curiosities by Ian Stewart
Prof Stewart is one of my favourite writers. In this book he covers just about all areas of math. When he was 14, the Prof used to keep a notebook with all of his fave bits of math stored in it. He shares his ideas with us in this book.
